Aleshka Cleveland offers techniques, tools and experience. $265 incl. lunch & most materials June 27-28, 2008 Drawing, Design & DiscoveryDiscovering elemental forms, lines and movement in simple subjects is the basis for understanding design and composition. This knowledge is essential for confident drawing, painting and sculpting. Sue Russell is a knowledgeable and passionate teacher. $265 incl. lunch & most materials July 14-18, 2008 Freeing the Creative Spirit with Marilyn Hughey Phillis Last summer's creative journey was so revitalizing that Marilyn Phillis is returning to recapture the magic! This is an exploration of creativity and spirituality in nature and within each of us, through artistic expression. Using suggested exercises to release creativity, life experience and interactive play, artists are encouraged to seek out the expressive part of their spiritual nature in their art. Phillis is an extraordinary mentor and an exceptional artist, whose wisdom and insight are without equal. Hemlocks is a magical place. Located in a peaceful mountain forest, it offers serenity for thought, space to create and a forum for sharing ideas. Using papers, marbled papers, paint, textures and found treasures, collage chance and choice in inspired ways. Clem Bedwell, a professional artist & illustrator, will be our guide to inventive possibilities. $265 incl. lunch & most materials September 7-12, 2008 Open Studio Retreat Every artist needs time to create without interruption. Each artist wants to share creative energy with other artists, to renew and refresh. Independent Study No prima donnas may attend this escape! Studio space, meals and, lodging are shared.
